This year will also mark the 25th anniversary of Nina Campbell’s highly successful collaboration with Osborne & Little – an event celebrated with the release of a new range of prints, weaves and wallpapers from the designer.
Nina’s principal inspiration for this season’s collection has been the travels and art of her great uncle. The fabrics and wallpapers collection channels Nina’s signature amalgam of elegance and comfort, infused with one or two surprises.
Depicted on a mix fabrics including small-scale weaves and opulent velvets, the designs include: stylised painted foliage in bright citrus colours; neo-classical panels of trompe l’oeil marble set in contrasting frames; a grand tree of life design contemporised by a dramatic ombre effect; a starburst of tiny beads which evoke 1930’s Hollywood glamour; and an amusing homage to the monkeys on the Rock of Gibraltar.
Matthew Williamson’s third collection of decorative fabrics and wallpapers for Osborne & Little captures the exotic and tropical landscapes, nature, flora and fauna he has admired whilst on research trips and travels to far-flung destinations.
Known for his bold use of colour and vivid patterns, Matthew’s latest collection features sumptuous chenilles, velvets and fashionable silky tweed in colours imported from the catwalk. Exotic animals such as flamingos, macaw parrots and leopards dominate his patterns, hidden amidst spectacular orchids, heliconias, pineapples and palm fronds.
